Moira English stoneware cheese preserver with lid.A wonderful large stoneware Pot stamped 'CHEESE PRESERVER' and made by Moira Pottery, England. Would make a lovely edition to any country kitchen.
There are instructions for preserving cheese printed inside the lid.

Height with handle: 17.5cm
Diameter at base: 19.5cm
This piece is in very good condition with just two small chips. One to the top left and one to the bottom right of the wording on the crock. The lid is in perfect condition, (please see photographs for details)
This is an uncommon opportunity to purchase Moira stoneware. The pottery (situated in the borough of Staffordshire in the Midlands) was closed in 1972.
